Scan
Point your camera at any sheet music or upload a PDF. KITB’s OCR engine uses a convolutional neural network trained on hundreds of thousands of music notation samples to identify notes, rests, dynamics, accidentals, key signatures, time signatures, and articulation marks — even from handwritten scores.

Play
The recognized notation is rendered as a playable MIDI score. Choose from 30+ instruments — piano, violin, trumpet, flute, clarinet, cello, guitar, drums, and more. Adjust tempo, isolate individual parts in multi-voice scores, and loop specific measures. Haptic sync delivers tactile feedback aligned to the beat for rhythm internalization.

Practice
Practice Mode listens as you play along through your device’s microphone. The AI analyzes your timing accuracy, note precision, and rhythmic consistency in real time. After each session, you receive a performance score and detailed breakdown. Progress reports track improvement across sessions, pieces, and skill areas over time.

Sheet music images scanned via camera are processed in real time by our OCR engine and are not stored on M5CAIRO servers after processing, unless you explicitly save them to your personal library. PDF uploads are stored only within your account for playback access. Microphone audio used in Practice Mode is analyzed locally on-device and is never recorded, uploaded, or stored.
